Sales Contract Addendum for Deposit to Hold Kitten/Cat

Explanation of Deposit
Deposits are accepted on a kitten or cat that is offered for sale.
The deposit is accepted in good faith to hold a kitten/cat for a purchaser who intends
to buy the kitten/cat and take possession, paid in full, on the date seller indicates the
kitten/cat is ready to go, or on a mutually agreed upon date.
When a deposit is accepted for a kitten/cat, that kitten/cat is withdrawn from the market
and is no longer offered for sale to other potentially interested parties.
Deposit monies accepted for pet kittens are used towards that kitten’s spay/neuter and
associated veterinary expenses.

Terms of Acceptance of Deposit
Deposits for kittens being placed in non-breeding pet homes is $200.
Deposits for retired cats being placed in non-breeding pet homes is half the adoption
fee.
Deposits for kittens or cats being placed in breeding, showing homes is generally one
half of the purchase price, although the amount of deposit may be different at the sole
discretion of the seller.
Deposits may be paid in cash, money order, Pay Pal, or wire transfer.
A Personal Check may be accepted as a deposit provided it is drawn on a local bank
and it is received at least 10 business days before the kitten/cat is scheduled to be
picked up.  This is at the sole discretion of the seller.
It is understood that the balance of the purchase price is due on the date the kitten/cat
is ready to go to its new home.
If kitten/cat is not paid for in full by due date, deposit will be forfeited, and kitten/cat will
be offered for sale to other parties, unless prior written arrangements are made with
the seller.
